Hindu mythology states that the confluence of Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, Amrit Siddhi Yoga, Mrigashirsha Nakshatra, and Abhijit Muhurat corresponded to her birth. The dates of all these lucky times coincide on January 22, 2024.

On January 22, 2024, at 12:20 p.m. IST, the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya would be dedicated with much ceremony. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be among the dignitaries in attendance, along with a number of athletes, celebrities, businesspeople, and spiritual leaders.

Why is Ram Mandir consecrated on 22 January?

In Hindu legend, Lord Ram was created when Abhijit Muhurat, Mrigashirsha Nakshatra, Amrit Siddhi Yoga, and Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga coincided. All these auspicious dates will align on 22 January 2024, giving it the optimum date for pran pratishtha, the Ram Temple consecration in Ayodhya.

Abhijit Muhurat

The astrology of the Vedas considers Abhijit Muhurat the most auspicious and powerful time. About 48 minutes. That’s the eighth of 15 minutes between dawn and dusk.

Abhijit Muhurat begins at 12:16 pm IST on 22 January 2024 and ends at 12:59 pm.

For Hindus, this is a lucky occasion since it is when Lord Shiva defeated the monster Tripurasur. According to Hindu mythology, this time helps people get rid of bad energy from their lives.


Mrigashirsha Nakshatra

As per Vedic astrology, Mrigshirsha is the fifth of 27 nakshatras, symbolizing the Orionis constellation. The word mrigashirsha (deer’s head)

Mrigashirsha nakshatra is associated with handsome, bright, diligent, and attractive people. This was the nakshatra of Lord Ram’s birth.

Demons kidnapped Soma, the deity of immortality and the nakshatra’s ruling planet, according to the legend of Mrigashirsha nakshatra, and concealed him within a lotus. The gods requested assistance from Mrigashirsha, the king of deers, who ultimately set Soma free.

On 22 January 2024, the Mrigashirsha nakshatra will begin at 03:52 am IST and continue till 07:13 am IST on 23 January 2024.

Amrit Siddhi Yoga and Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga

According to Vedic astrology, an auspicious period is formed when a weekday and a star sign come together. The auspicious times of Amrit Siddhi Yoga and Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will be formed by Mrigashirsha and Monday (22 January 2024), starting at 07:13 am IST on Monday and ending at 04:58 am on Tuesday.
